Our journey with Investors in People started early in 2014. The initial thoughts of going for the accreditation with Investors in People was initially daunting as this was previously viewed as a laborious task. However, following consultation, we agreed to seek accreditation and we were formally assessed by Mary Leishman, IIP Assessor and Director at 4-Consulting and awarded the Investors in People Accreditation in August 2014. Mr Peter Russian, Chief Executive at Investors in People attended our centre on 28th October 2014 and the award was presented by MSP Annabel Goldie.

The journey then continued and soon afterward in December 2014 we were again formally assessed and awarded the Investors in Young People Accreditation.

Over the next few months, the staff team and management worked towards developing our service further and through consultation with Mary Leishman we agreed to push ourselves forward for the Investors in People Health and Wellbeing Award. This was assessed in March 2016 and we were awarded the Investors in People Health and Wellbeing Award, becoming one of only a handful of organisations in Scotland to receive all three awards and the first and only care service to have achieved the ‘Triple Crown’.

We were delighted to be presented with our award on 17th February 2017 when our Chair of Board of Directors, Roisin McGoldrick accepted the award from Depute First Minister, Mr John Swinney and again having the pleasure of the company of Peter Russian, Chief Executive at Investors in People.
